New Brunswick's All-Terrain Vehicle Federation is seeking to lease a portion of former railway line from the province's Department of Natural Resources to create a trail from Cross Creek to Durham Bridge.
Jacques Poirier, general manager of the federation, said area clubs want to be able to ride ATVs legally on the old trail line, which is used by local residents as a walking trail.
The federation is piloting the application on behalf of clubs in Taymouth, Stanley, Penniac and Durham areas.
