As we enter the ATV development and maintenance period, I urge all riders to prioritize safety on our trails. With that in mind, I encourage everyone to consider taking advantage of ATV safety training courses available throughout our province.
Cost of ATV Rider Safety Courses:
The course fee is $100, but we offer discounts as follows:
- 80% rebate for children aged 6 to 15 with member parents
- 30% rebate for children aged 6 to 15 with non-member parents
- 50% rebate for NBATVF members
ATV Rental:
During the course, the use of a Federation’s machine costs $35. Please note that only models for children are available for rental.
Registration:
ATV Rider Safety Courses are conducted across the province. You can register yourself or your child by visiting our website or clicking on the link provided.
Course Details:
The CASI ATV RiderCourse, facilitated by licensed CASI Instructors, offers a hands-on, half-day learning experience. Students will enhance their safety knowledge and practice basic riding skills under supervision.
Program Highlights:
- Based on the ATV Safety Institute (ASI) program
- Enhanced with input from Chief Instructors across Canada
- Supported and endorsed by major ATV manufacturers and industry councils
Parental Consent:
A signed consent form from the parent or legal guardian is mandatory for children participating in the course. They must also accompany the child throughout the session.
Protective Gear:
Wearing appropriate protective gear is crucial. Helmets meeting specified safety standards are mandatory. Additionally, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, gloves, and over-the-calf boots are recommended for optimal protection.
